Getting Fit - With my Wii Fit!
Yep you heard me right … Im going to work on getting fit with my Wii Fit! I made the decision that I would like to feel better, tone up and lose a few pounds. So I am going to get myself on a routine of working out and eating better. As well as teaching my kids better eating habits and exercise too. This way its not so tough for them to “start doing”, when they get older because they will already have it in their lifestyle!
I have decided that I am going to Blog about my progress and what I do each day to hold myself accountable. I may not blog everyday, then again I may. But if I dont then I will blog often about it. This will help me stay focused and accountable to reach my goals!
So let me start with what I done yesterday for my workout and eating healthier
My Menu: I started my day with a fruit/grain cereal bar, bananna and a diet coke (I know not the best choice of drink but Im working on it). Then for lunch I had an apple and a few pretzels with a bottle of water. I then had another bottle of water in the late afternoon. I then went to KFC and had dinner with the family - yikes I know. I said I was going to start eating healthier … doesnt mean Im not gonna eat sometimes
I also began my workout yesterday. I am using the regular Wii Fit right now but heading out today after my litle girls cheer competition and may pick up Wii Fit Plus. I am going to take a look at it anyways. I also may pick up some small weights that I can hold while working out some of the time to help workout my arms as well.
My Workout: Lets see…. I went ahead and started from top to bottom on the Wii Fit doing a little in each section. So I started out by doing two yoga exercises (boy could I feel that in my sides). Next I moved onto strength exercises, done some lunches and I can totally feel that in my legs today! Yay me!
Next I moved onto the other areas of the Wii Game and done some Areobic Step, Jogging, Free Step for 1005 steps (for 10 min), I done some hula hoop too. Then I moved on to play some balance games with my little boy. So we both enjoyed our Wii time!
In fact I may call my Blog Posts to keep me accountable “My Wii Time” - great idea!
This is definately a start! Oh yeah … when I weighed in, I weighed in at 131 lbs. I am telling you this so we can watch my progress along the way. I do plan on working out everyday on the Wii Fit! So I will update my blog as often as I can with my progress!
Well its time for me to fix something healthy for breakfast so my daughter can totally ROCK at todays cheer competition!!
Until next time, Rhonda
